A group of media- and interactiondesigners went on an excursion, and I took photos.

Waiting...

My this semester's work - a short video about the topic "waiting". Men spend around a quarter of their lifes with waiting for something or someone. I tried to visualize certain emotional aspects of waiting, e.g. desperation, impatience, boredom, distraction, repetition, and so on. And because of the negative connotation people associate with waiting, I chose a simple, dirty, black and white environment.

The week ago, my parents and me visited my sister in Ireland, and had a wonderful time (but not weather).

Application for a job as a cutter

For a job application, my task was to create a 10min - video out of a one-hour-footage. Because of the chaotic, fast camera movements, I decided to cut it fast and dynamic too. Here's the result:

WAITING - Making of

A joiner helped me building a large cube (2,5 x 2,5 m) for a little film project of mine. I hope it'll be working out as I have in mind. But anyway, it was fun, I'm thinking of starting an apprenticeship as a joiner ;-)

In the newspapers again ;-) - WCG

I was quite surprised finding a photo of our World Choir Games award ceremony in the "Kleine Zeitung", a styrian newspaper.
The commissioning of the prices itself was pretty nice, good coffee, nice buffet, some important people, and Toffy (on the very right) and me, receiving a "price of recognition" for our work as mentioned earlier.
Maybe our idea will turn into a merchandising product for the World Choir Games in China, and we will be engaged in the business!!!

A few days at the sea

Last weekend, Martina and me took the chance to get out of every day's work and spend four nice days in Istria, Croatia.

RIIING! Oh my god, the worst sound of all, my alarm clock going off at 4 a.m.
5.00 a.m.: Leaving Graz and going to the Lebenshilfe
6.15 a.m.: Start of shooting

19.30 p.m.: Arriving in Graz again, done and nearly asleep. But it was a great day, we had nice weather and a lot of fun too, although it really was exhausting...

The People's Republic - Vernissage

It really was tough work cutting out those foam plates, getting dizzy from breathing in the spray-on glue, writing texts for the pictures and finally going to the café finding out that nobody really expected me and the owner with whom I arranged my exhibition was not there too. Nevertheless, now it's done, and I'm very happy (and a little bit proud ;-) to have my first photo exhibition in a very nice and beautiful coffeehouse.

Free Hugs in Graz

A few friends of mine joined a "free hugs - team" (Info) and offered plenty of hugs to people at the Hauptplatz and Herrengasse in Graz. I took photos.

YESSIR! We won a "price of appreciation" for our World Choir Games - concept! Our idea will be produced as a merchandising product for the games, and we will receive an allowance of 600 Euros!

We founded a company!! And not only a virtual one - a few days ago we applied for a trade license, and our first job is in progress.
We specialise in short-, docu- and image movies, and I'll "lead" the whole team as creative director.

CHINA Photo exhibition

On the 2nd of May, my photo exhibition about China is going to start at Café Va Bene in my hometown Saalfelden! Finally I get the chance to show some of my photographs in public. And who knows, maybe I could sell one or two...

Comic dubbing

Our task was to create a short sound loop which describes a comic picture we got. Mine looks as following, underneath my two dubbing versions, using just a tent peg, a metal camping table-leg, and a water tap. Watch and listen at the same time!

Here we are, having an entertaining night with our friends "Paraminds of Groove" and my favourite DJs (and best friends) Ekud and ef-el-o. The event was not very well organised (6 DJs! just too much!), but the band was great again and of course we had a lot of fun. I had the pleasure of working with David Brunnthaler aka Quote. Guggi, another friend and FH colleague, took some very nice pictures. Some of them to be seen further down.

Tom and me presented our award-winning ;-) game "time trouble" at DISCOVER, a EU project for teachers to discover the pleasure of learning and teaching, with the emphasis on computer games in school lessons.

Another great night with my friends! We celebrated all our aquarius birthdays at SUB, which are quite a few. Apparently, and unfortunately, nobody took pictures. Right underneath, an impression of the visuals I did at the party (mix by efelo).

Land of Human Rights Café

I created a simple booklet for ROTOR, an association for contemporary art, in Graz.
In the course of the project "LAND OF HUMAN RIGHTS CAFÉ" local celebrities and organisations contributed some things of them to Rotor. This is what the booklet explains.
